Our Team
Judy graduated from the University of Utah in 1976 with a B.S. in Accounting. She focuses her attention on consulting for small businesses as well as professional service industries such as medical, legal, and real estate. Judy specializes in general accounting and financial analysis, business planning, tax planning and litigation support.
Judy’s career in public accounting began with the national firm, Arthur Young & Co. After three years she brought her national experience to Beckstead Cooper and Company. Judy was a partner of Van Engelen CPA’s for four years with her two brothers. She and her husband, Doug, who is also known as her childhood sweetheart, formed Pollow & Company in 1990. Pollow and Moore CPAs, Chartered was formed in 2004, bringing Debbie Moore in as a partner.
Judy enjoys being a professional volunteer in her spare time. Judy has served on numerous boards for professional, civic, nonprofit, and charitable organizations. She truly believes in the phrase, “volunteering is the rent we pay for the space we occupy in this lifetime.” Tennis is a passion, while reading, cooking and needlework are her pleasures.
Doug graduated from the University of Utah in 1975 with a degree in Finance. He was a Real Estate Banker for seven years and has significant experience in real estate transactions. Doug then spent the next seven years working in a private industry as an office accountant. Later, at age 35, Doug returned to school, attending Idaho State University where he received his degree in Accounting and passed the CPA exam in one sitting.
Upon the completion of two years of his accounting education, he joined Judy to form Pollow & Company in 1990 - now Pollow and Moore CPAs, Chartered. Doug specializes in tax and small business consulting.
Doug has been married to Judy for 36 years; they have two children, Chris and Katie, who were born on the same day three years apart, as well as two grandchildren. Doug’s hobbies include tennis and reading. He is an accomplished stained glass artist and does commissioned work in his spare time.
Debbie graduated from the University of Wyoming in December of 1990 and is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor as well as a CPA. Debbie was a staff accountant for a local firm in Wyoming for seven years before moving back home to Twin Falls.
In 1998 she began working for Pollow & Company, and in 2004 became a partner in Pollow & Moore CPAs, Chartered. Besides being a Certified QuickBooks Advisor, Debbie offers expertise in small business accounting and management.
Debbie and her husband Ryan, who is an electrical journeyman, have three grown sons. In her spare time Debbie enjoys family activities, camping, and gardening. She is the green thumb in the office.
Valerie is a staff accountant and Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She is our office payroll expert and is responsible for all payroll accounting and bookkeeping in the office. In addition she provides bookkeeping consulting both onsite and via email.
She has worked in this industry since 1977 when she graduated with an Associates degree in Accounting from CSI. She joined the Pollow & Moore team in July of 2002 as a staff accountant. Valerie sees every client as unique and strives to provide the services necessary to meet the accounting needs of each client.
Valerie has four daughters and four (soon to be five) grandchildren. She enjoys all of types of music and loves to sing as well as play the piano and the guitar. Cooking, reading, fishing, camping, and spending time with the family are some of the things Valerie loves to do with her spare time.
It’s her friendly voice that greets you both on the phone and when you visit our office. Kelly’s primary responsibility is as Pollow & Moore’s administrative manager. Keeping the office functioning efficiently and effectively is her daily goal.
Kelly, like the other members of the PMC team, was born and raised in the Magic Valley. Kelly’s family consists of her husband of 11 years, Jarrett, and children, Jace, age 9 and Jentry, age 7. Together they enjoy raising and racing quarter horses.
Kathy joined our team in 2010 as our front desk receptionist. From answering the phone, to greeting those who come to the office and a little of everything in- between, Kathy is ready to help with a smile.
Kathy was born in California and raised all over the United States and is happy to be able to call Twin Falls home for more than five years (her longest stay anywhere!). She has been married to Phil for 15 years and they have 1 son, Eric. Kathy enjoys movies, reading, quilting and spending time with her family.
